CXpreX II is in the books,
a wet, gray, bee stung book anyway. 46 riders showed up at Leslie Park on a beautiful day for CX racing. It rained, it thundered and there was even a bit of mud. Perfect Cyclo-cross racing weather! The other momentous event that occurred was this was the FIRST CXpreX @ Leslie where we didn't have to run up Mt. Sisyphus. All of the riders were glad to see it.
Because of the rain our iPad based system went ka-blooey but the good old manual system worked just fine. I'd forgotten how much more work a manual system takes, after a weekend at the Bowling Green Soccer Fall Challenge (my son's team made it to the finals!) I'm working on results. A & B results will be posted shortly.
The next session, on August 28, is back @ Leslie Park. We have a whole new series of challenges for you to learn and practice. Think New England and Europe for course design. As usual registration will open @ 5:15, Clinics @ 5:45 Racing @ 6:30ish with food and raffle to follow.
Thanks to all our volunteers and sponsors without them we couldn't do what we do. Here's the list, Please stop by their shops and buy something or just say Thanks!
